Orquesta La Solucion was founded in 1974 by Roberto Rivera in the town of Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. Beginning with their first album, their sound was unique in many ways be utilizing first three and then four trombones to put forth an energizing salsa sound. Frankie Ruiz, one of salsa’s most well known stars, began his career with the group, going on to release the smash hit “La Reuda” in the 70’s.

Over the years, the group has performed with many of the well-known names in the industry such as Ruben Blades, Celia Cruz, Hector Lavoe, and countless others. Staying true to their roots over the last thirty years, they continue to perform to sell out crowds throughout the globe. ~ Salsa Blvd
